Compassion

Last Sunday, as I attended our church service. One of my dearest friend and I were exchanging SMS. She is going through a “tsunami” in her marriage.

As I was doing the multi-task- listening to our pastor, at the same time texting my friend and noting down notes from the sermon… I got overwhelmed by what she had been sharing with me and what I had been hearing from the person speaking in the podium.

I wish I can do more for her other than listening to her hurts thru text. I was really crying during the closing prayer… I thank God that our Pastor encourage us to stand in the gap between Gad and the person we know who has been going through a difficult situation…as if the pastor knows what is going on with me and my friend.

Indeed God shows compassion to His people. He speaks in ways beyond our imagination.

“But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness. Turn to me and have mercy on me; grant your strength to your servant and save the son of your maidservant.”(Psalms 86:15-16 NIV)
