Spare The Rod

"He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him."- Ps 13:24

John is away for three weeks now and still be away for three weeks more, He is attending company's training. So basically, I am the only parent at home. We have three kids, ages 10 (Jason) , 8 (Yanni) and 1 (Zoe). The two eldest are attending home school, so we all are together at home 24/7.

Though they are really wonderful and good kids but sometimes they tend to get attitude that needs to be arrested or else it'll infect their spirits.

There are three major rules in the house... that is OBEY, RESPECT and TELL THE TRUTH. If these rules are not followed, they surely get disciplined.

And now that I am the only one here with them, I always get to wear the hat of a disciplinarian. And it always break my heart whenever kids get disciplined. But knowing the Word of God in Psalms 13: 23, I can not let my emotions rule over my best judgment based on God's Word. I want my kids to walk in the straight path, and if the way to get them there is to carefully discipline them... I let my heart bleeds as I hear them cry and sobs. I only want the best for my kids. I want them to grow obedient to God, respectful to all and honest in their dealings.
