Our Firstborn

Jason is our eldest son. His is christened as Jason Jean (French for John). Jason has this Hebrew named Ἰάσων pronounced as Iasōn /ee-as'-oan/ which mean “about to cure”, other Baby Dictionary means “To heal”.
As I have written over and over in my previous articles, my eldest son has VSD subaortic type, the one that has slim chance of closing naturally. But regardless of the diagnosis of the many specialists that we brought Jason to, both for check up and “Nth” opinion, Jason was finally operated on last September 12, 2008. The success of and the provisions for his operation were all but God’s grace, mercy, goodness and faithfulness.

Jason turns 10 years old today, and this birthday is being look forward to, as parents, our hearts are full of thanksgiving and gratitude to those who unceasingly pray and support us. There were many whom we have not met in person and whom we dont personally know. But We know God will reward you in full. To our family, friends and church, We also know that God's goodness and grace abounds in all of you. We know that this experience has increased us in our faith in God. To all we pray blessings upon blessings. We give God all the glory and honor. There were no more fear and anxiety that lurked at the back of our mind of what might become of Jason.
Our son Jason, indeed was healed from his congenital defect. Our prayer for him is .. ..

“May Jason become a man after God’s own heart. May his new fixed heart will only beat for God. May his heart honor God and bring glory to His Name. May this heart of Jason be filled with compassion to those who struggle the same illness. May this compassion leads him to do the good work and eventually to win others for Jesus. May God’s face shine upon him and be gracious to him, starting today and all the days of his life on earth.”
