Time In Between

Christianity is misunderstood as religion. Some labeled it as a certain sect whose ethos is diversified from other religions who also acknowledge Jesus. People with that belief maybe understood on the account of being falsely indoctrinated. As they say, wrong doctrine produces wrong behavior and partial opinion with amiss preference.

Sadly, it’s not only those kinds of people that failed to grasp the quintessence of being a Christian but also Christians themselves. We think that our Christianity is only observed in worship service, or bible study, prayer group, ministry or just being with Christian group. Yet in between times that we are not in the midst of anything in our spiritual life we become a different person. It’s like “putting-on-the-robe” so to say in order to identify our selves among believers and after which put it off when everything has been carried out already. I’m not saying some Christians are just perfunctory when doing things. That’s not the issue here, who are we to judge anyone? However, I would like to throw the question of the things that we do in between times that we are not doing anything that we normally do in the company of Christians? When we are alone? Or office? Or school? Or in an environment where there’s no one but you alone who is a Christian?

Christianity is more than the activity we do. It encompasses the totality of our being. Regardless of what we are into, whether we are having time in between our moment with God, or in the midst of life crises, we are not supposed to ignore the Holy spirit that has been continually working in us, by being sensitive to its leading in all the things that we do, we are giving a correct ballpark figure of our God whom we served above all things.
