Coffee
Sipping coffee with my girl friends has always been a luxurious custom for me. Shallow joy perhaps to some, but to me it’s truly a delighting thing to do. Its value to me is incomparable to the practiced tea-ceremony (I’m just being subjective here, on the account of my experience of course, sorry to say)
Although drinking coffee (or its varied concoction) has been part of my daily-beverage-in-take already; but it always brings me a different euphoric feeling when imbibed with friends. With our cup of coffee, we let loose of our pent up emotions. Its hotness reminds us of our intimate friendship trussed by God’s love for us. Its aroma allows us to reveal our thoughts without being threatened to be condemned due to our flaws and human tendencies to be weakened amidst trials. Its taste alleviates us to be more gracious and forgiving despite our indifferences.
Drinking coffee in its metaphorical sense brings me to a higher level of understanding what God’s goodness means to me. Unless you experience it, know it, taste it. It’ll never bring you the insight and appreciation of God’s love and righteousness.
I know I’m speaking vaguely. I know it’s no time for parabolic article—but I’d like to say my piece this way.
