What is sovereignty? Perhaps many of us could not comprehend what sovereignty really is. Conceivably we take for granted God’s supremacy not only in our lives but also in everything in this world. It does not only mean God’s control in us or with things but also it involves our dealing with God.
Somehow in our stubbornness, we slipped away from our faith. We test our selves how far we can go with our conviction. Knowing the grace we received or will receive, we try to sidestep God’s will or command for us. Our obstinate character places us in a scurrilous manner that truly blaspheming our faith. Why so? See, How can a Christian behave untowardly when Someone sacrificially died for his redemption. A Christian is forgiven not that he can wallow in his sin/s again but to have a reconciliation with God. And God is a holy God who cannot tolerate sin. This truth leaves us a reality that we cannot take salvation for granted (the knowledge of “once save always save” results to the complacency of not doing our part?). Thus, does not give us an excuse to continue on sinning (habitual sin, favorite sin should not reflect in our lives nor be entertained by our thoughts).
In short, God’s grace is not a license to sin (been talking about this over and over) but instead should lead us to the road of where we walk our talk. Let us have that daily consciousness that in the event that Jesus died for us so that we can have the forgiveness of sin, it is also our duty to put on our new self and live a life that God wants us to live. By living(as I always said)a christian life we can have good testimony to others who don’t know Christ which eventually would lead them to our Savior.
The issue now is not how far we can go with our faith. Or how many times we can sidestep with God or take control of our lives. But it is the issue on how we can stay righteous before God in order to achieve His purpose in our lives.

© sidestepping or circumventing is cheating God. Remember that when we believed and accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, it means we become Jesus’ subjects. We no longer act as if we own our selves. Our conduct must please our master. And if we seek to gratify our selves we bamboozled our Sovereign God.
