Under Control

Readings: Romans 8:28 Psalm 62:1

Sometimes pressures, problems, disputes overwhelm us. Most often than not, we panic. We think that it’s the end of the world already. But Christians who know by heart the Word of God can truly be joyful under pressures. When I say by heart it means, the person has practiced God’s word. He lives with it. There’s no other formula but just let go and Let God. I used to be a stickler. In most of my disappointments, it’s either my temper bursts out or resentment creeps in. This caused me so much fatigue aside from it threatened my relationship with people especially my loved ones. The good news is, this old self has been transformed into the kind of person God wants me to be. Though the spiritual metamorphosis is a slow process but what matter most is that the Holy Spirit has constantly been working in my life. Given the deepest and darkest pits in our lives, there’s no other way of true repentance but the humility of accepting that we cannot change by own effort without Jesus in our lives. And even if the change is painstakingly slothful yet knowing we have a faithful God, things will be under His control and we are not hopeless.
